They are easy going and can be happy anywhere as long as they have enough exercise and interaction with their family.These dogs have a beautiful thick coat that is perfect for winter climates.
Wendy also handles many of the dogs in the show ring and assists Ed with his field training as she also enjoys running the dogs in Junior Hunt tests and has finished the title on several of the dogs herself.
It’s almost impossible to give your mature IRW Setter too much exercise, but be careful with puppies.Young dogs need exercise but it is important to protect the formation of their joints, so avoid jogging or biking with your dog until they are at least 18 months old. They also participate in AKC Field Trials and AKC Hunt Tests with all having their Junior Hunter titles or passes towards their titles already. These friendly dogs need consistent and positive training to succeed. Truly Red & Whites is located in eastern Pennsylvania and we breed Irish Red and White Setters. In 2009 when the IRWS received full recognition from AKC we jumped feet first into showing and boy did we have a lot to learn. Rachelâs favorite thing is to start our young puppies off right in life including following the Puppy Culture Protocol until our puppies leave at 10 weeks old.
