"The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story" delves into the experiences of six unknown young actors placed into the Hollywood spotlight, exposing the challenges of growing up under public scrutiny while trying to maintain the squeaky clean image of their popular characters both on and off-screen. A group of intrepid explorers go on a journey of discovery and excitement as they climb and live atop a 17,000ft mountain in Eastern Turkey to conduct a scientific expedition to determine ... A murder, a motive, and a prime suspect cannot be kept a secret forever. An abusive man promises to kill his girlfriend when she threatens to end the relationship and take their baby. They barely display the character's personalities, hobbies, and their life outside the set, which would be helpful to understand some issues.

Was this review helpful? I would have rather watched a documentary about the making of the show then watch them fake their way through this crap. Despite being so terrible I sat there and watched it and maybe because I wanted it to be so good and maybe because I loved Saved By The Bell so much...somehow I found some semblance of redemption in it and was okay with wasting an hour and a half on it.
Since this story is about a group of six teenagers and what went on behind the scenes of the TV show, one man's recollection of events certainly skews history and hence the unauthorized title. Zack, Screech, and Slater are all college students now. Because it is Unauthorized they make up sets that look nothing like the actual ones, stories and scripts that never happened and events that were very unlikely. In this conclusion of the long running series it finally happens: Kelly and Zack will marry.

But in order to free her, he must give up the thing he loves the most. And the only movie I have watched in the last 14 years. The casting is the only thing they didn't screw up because it was okay (most will disagree with me) but the story they tell is ridiculous. I wish I can give it a lower score.. Lifetime is the home of bad, bad TV movies but this one takes the cake of stuff I've seen lately. The movie was a homage to the cast and it made me smile, especially since I grew up watching the series as a kid. 5 out of 14 found this helpful. It's definitely the next best thing.
