Language: english. Loved this story with the major plot and sub(plots). They drive the car into their garage, and there Kinsey states that she thinks that the person who took the jewels must be one of them if the safe wasn’t drilled and only they knew the combination. P is for Peril This was my first Grafton book and will likely be my last. But there was far too little of that in this mystery. Kinsey Millhone ventures into the darker side of the human soul in this gripping novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Sue Grafton. This slap-dash ending of stories has become way too common in recent books I have read. They hit Kinsey. Categories: Fiction. I expect Mariah Talbot to turn up in Q is for Quarry. She herself is a unique character.
Not that believable. I felt exactly the same way. Apparently, the jewels have disappeared from the safe they keep in the office that Kinsey wanted to rent, and they have also discovered that the jeweller that Henry mentioned doesn’t exist.
I found the story to be engaging (I couldn't put the book down) for the most part, until it started coming to the end. I have been reading sue Grafton's Kinsey Milhone series since I was twelve (I'm 25) and have never been dissapointed in one of the books until now. I couldn't figure out why Kinsey had ended up in places, or what the purpose of some visits were. The ending is a surprise, but doesn't come out of left field. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. So, I am going to read the book over again (it has been several months since I had first read it) and perhaps the second time around I will pick up clues that I missed. There's a nice little serene finish on the last page, but it doesn't atone for the plot's void.
Kinsey tells them that the day before when she was at her office, she saw the door open, but she thought it was Richard. Kinsey realises that Mariah used her to get back on the two brothers, and she feels like a fool.Kinsey also discovers the truth about the clinic fraud when she talks to Tina Bart, the accountant. Especially after really enjoying the series up until now.

The main plot, not so well. She tells the stories in such a way that you can actually visualize the story. The US edition retailed at $2.00 and the UK edition at seven shillings and sixpence (7/6).. I do enjoy Kinsey.
The book doesn’t explain much further, but we get to understand that Crystal and Anica, her friend who is a counsellor in Leila’s school, are lovers, and they planned to kill Dow together. Vocabulary is so elusive that in many cases I had to look up the words for definitions. Then the two of them appear in her flat in very unfriendly terms. The story, though slow in parts, was overall very readable. Her heroine is a strong independent woman without appearing to stretch. Kinsey Millhone never sees it coming. Jumbled. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. So it was Crystal all along, so she knocks at the door, pretending that her car had broken down and needed to call a friend. P is for puzzled, as I think most fans will be when they reach the end of this book. Writing styles have changed a LOT since the 40’s, but fun to read and see a little bit where Kinsey came from, and where Sue got her talent! Year: 2001. I was reading "P" is for Peril and got to page 338 and the next pages were 19-50 then back to 371. The book would normally rate 2 stars, one star is awarded because I still like Kinsey. The reader never really is answered as to why the crime took place. There are two separate storylines and the one with the brothers is by far better.
