Excellent Horror for believers (and skeptics) alike; Not your average haunted house story.! As brilliant as it was for Deutsch to hire Fischer, it was even more brilliant for director John Hough to hire McDowall for this role. The film still looks and sounds great, but considering the impact, influence and true depth of this film, one might have expected a more bonus-heavy release. Indulge yourself, I don't think you will regret it.

I saw this as a remake/update of "The Haunting" which is hard to improve upon BUT by removing the absolutely annoying droning voiceover that ruins "The Haunting", I find this movie much more enjoyable to watch. The Legend of Hell House is one of the better haunted house horror films it never lets up till the creepy evil claims just about all the characters in the film!
