So it was very traumatic experience for young Cody. Jessie (Kate Bosworth) and Mark (Thomas Jane) decide to take in a sweet and loving 8-year-old boy, Cody. So they decide to adopt an eight year-old orphan named Cody (Jacob Tremblay), who was abandoned by two foster families. The implication in the film is that she’s reminded of the drowning of Sean but does this bother anyone else? The last we see of Mark he is absorbed by the canker man who is brought to life as Cody dreams in his sleep. We also see all of the other people that the canker man has consumed released from a web.
